2024 SUMMER CLASSES
We are so excited for all of the amazing summer classes VDP has in store for you this summer. Summer is the perfect time to try a new class or to develop your skills, while not having to balance school-work and extracurricular activities. Victoria Dance Productions offers classes for dancers age 2.5-18, for all skill levels – Beginner to Advanced.
The 2024 Summer Session Season runs from June 10th to August 16th. A majority of our classes are 5 or 6-week sessions. We know summer is busy and you may need to miss a class. So, we have already prorated the price! Take the 6-week session for the price of 5 classes.
Several classes have registration discounts! Be sure to register by June 1st to save more on your summer dance!
Also please note, as summer class sizes are very limited, there is a 20% cancellation fee on all classes held from June 10-September 2. The balance of the refund will be credited to your VDP account to be used for your next class session.

Contemporary
This class incorporates jazz, lyrical, modern and ballet styles. It adds strength and modern movements to our lyrical ballet steps. Contemporary is the perfect marriage of all of our soft shoe dance styles. The class will include across the floor, center lyrical and center contemporary combinations.

Improvization (Improv)
Dance improvisation is spontaneously creating movement, without pre-planning any steps or choreography. Through guided exercises and directed themes, dancers move freely, without relying on set movement patterns. In improvisation, develop the skills to create new, original movement and to dance full out without placing limits on “right and wrong”.
Tap Skills & Tricks
This class will strengthen your basic tap vocabulary and technique. Dancers will work on tap barre, center combinations and short routines as they develop their classic tap skills.
Contemporary
Tap
Are your classic tap steps and style strong and now you want a bit more? Contemporary tap is the next step. This class works the “hoofer” or rhythm style of tap that is used in more advanced routines and shows.

Dancer Strength, Conditioning & Recovery
A dancer’s core and body strength is one of the most important attributes for a successful dancer. This strength is developed over time with the right combination of training and exercises. This class is the start to developing the best mix of strength, flexibility and cardio endurance your body can achieve. We will also work on the very important phase of recovery! This step is vital to our body’s health and wellness.

If it is time to take your dance to the level, this is the class you are looking for! Next Level Dancer will be comprised of 3 components:
